Edward E. McKeon, 76

Brunswick Edward E. McKeon, 76, of Country Way, died Saturday at Samaritan Hospital Troy after a long illness.

Born in Troy, he was son of the late Robert and Mary Wagar Trueworthy and husband of the late Ruth M. Wood McKeon. He had resided in Troy most of his life and attended Watervliet High School.

Mr. McKeon was a plumber and pipe fitter for Ford Motor Company in Green Island for 37 years retiring in 1985.

He joined the Marine Corp and was a member of the 542nd Night Fighter Squadron serving in the Pacific during World War II.

Survivors include two sons Paul R. McKeon and wife Jeanne of Brunswick and Edward T. McKeon and wife Phyllis of San Mateo, CA and three grandchildren Stephen, Meredith and Jennifer McKeon. He was predeceased by a brother Walton McKeon and a sister Eleanor Spain.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00am from the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. corner of Pawling at Maple Avenue Troy with Rev. Kate Kotfila, Co-Pastor of the Brunswick Church, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-7pm. Interment Oakwood Cemetery in Troy.
