Edward F. Hengsterman

Troy - Edward F. Hengsterman, 99, of Berkley Street died Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, he was son of the late Christopher Hengsterman and Emma Roberts Hengsterman and husband for 64 years of the late Iva Perry Hengsterman. He had resided in Troy all his life and was a graduate of Troy High School. 

Mr. Hengsterman was employed as an autobody repairman for Cartwright Ford and later Marsh Hallman Chevrolet in Albany for many years, retiring 34 years ago.

He was a member of Third Presbyterian Church in Troy and an Army veteran of World War II serving stateside.  

Survivors include a son, Robert F. (Deborah A.) Hengsterman, West Sand Lake; 4 grandchildren, Robert E. (Staci) Hengsterman, North Carolina, Richard E. (Stacey) Hengsterman, Clifton Park, Cynthia (Adam) Beal, Brewster, NY and Sandra (Dean) Krissler, PA; 15 great grandchildren and 2 sisters, Elizabeth Simmons, Troy and Marjorie McGrady, Johnstown.  

Funeral service private at the convenience of the family.
