Edmund F. Koberger Sr., 75

Brunswick Edmund F. Koberger Sr., 75, of Otsego Avenue, died Saturday at his residence after a long illness.

Born in Troy, he was son of the late Charles and Rose Cardeney Koberger and husband of Elizabeth Ann Burns Koberger. He had resided in the Troy area all his life and was a graduate of Catholic Central High School Lansingburgh class of 1943.

Mr. Koberger was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service at the Troy Post Office for 30 years retiring 15 years ago.

He was a member of the Colonie Lodge of Elks, the National Association of Letter Carriers and a Marine Corp veteran of World War II. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Victory Church in Troy.

Survivors in addition to his wife include three sons Robert Edmund Koberger of Troy, Paul Francis Koberger of Schaghticoke and Edmund Francis Koberger of Valatie and eight grandchildren Robert, Jamie, Gregory, Katherine, Michael, Kevin, Kyla and Karissa Koberger and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters Helen Koberger and Rosemary Remillard and a brother Karl Koberger.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00am from the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. corner of Pawling at Maple Avenue Troy and at 11:30am from Our Lady of Victory Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 4-8pm. Entombment in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum in Troy.
