Edmund Fitzgerald, Jr.

Troy - Edmund Fitzgerald Jr., 88, of Brunswick Drive, died suddenly Friday, September 21, 2018, at his residence.

Born in Albany, he was son of the late Edmund Fitzgerald and Jeanne Johnston Fitzgerald. He had resided in the Troy area all his life and was a graduate of Troy High School. 

Mr. Fitzgerald was a chemical technician for N L Industries in Albany for 8 years retiring in 1983 and formerly worked at Fitzgerald Brewery in Troy and in the insurance business.

He was a member of the Troy Lodge of Elks #141, a former member of the Country Club of Troy and had his private pilots license, flying out of the former Troy Airport. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard.  

Survivors include a daughter, Lora Fitzgerald, Jane Lew, WV; a granddaughter, Kimberly Gerath; a brother, John R. (Judith) Fitzgerald, Granby, CT and three nephews, John, David and Luke Fitzgerald.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Monday, September 24, 2018 from 4-6PM. 

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:30AM at the funeral home and at 12 Noon at Sacred Heart Church Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Interment will be in  St. Peter's Cemetery Troy.
