Edith Louise Sager, 90

North Greenbush - Edith Louise Sager, 90, of North Greenbush died Monday September 8, 2008 Albany Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in North Greenbush, she was daughter of the late Charles Sager and Carolyn (Friend) Sager.

She was a bank supervisor of National Commercial Bank and Trust.

Edith's life revolved around the church and her family. She was a lifetime member of Blooming Grove Reformed Church in Defreestville and was a Sunday school teacher for many years and superintendent of the Sunday School. She was involved in many organizations of the church and was past president of the Reformed Church Women's Guild.

She was a member and past president of the North Greenbush Senior Citizens and the Credit Women's Organization.

Edith loved to work in her garden, especially her flower gardens and enjoyed birdwatching.

Survivors include 23 nieces and nephews and several great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her three sisters, Helen Evans, Ella Pfeiffer, and Bessie Stevens and three brothers, William, Charles and Raymond Sager.

Funeral service will be held Thursday at 1:00 PM at Blooming Grove Reformed Church 706 Blooming Grove Drive Rensselaer, NY 12144 with Rev. Carl Hiemstra, officiating.

Relatives and friends may call at the CHURCH prior to the service from 12 noon to 1PM.

Interment will be in Bloomingrove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Edith Louise Sager to the CHURCH.
