Dorothy M. (Martin) Carner

January 3, 1947 ~ February 24, 2015 (age 68) 68 Years Old

Wynantskill - Dorothy Martin Carner, 68, died Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Donald Martin and Madeline  Primeau Martin and wife of Dennis E. Carner. She was a graduate of Averill Park schools. 

Mrs. Carner and her husband owned and operated Eagle Mills Antiques for many years and she also worked as a Manager for McDonald's Wynantskill and in the meat department of Price Chopper in Hudson Valley Plaza.

She was a member officer of the Brunswick Grange where she prepared food, loved spending time with her grandchildren, loved cooking and was know for ‘the best hamburger'.    

Survivors in addition to her husband include her children, William (Mona) Carner, Stephentown, Melissa (Jeff) Quimby, Massachusetts, Barbara (Terry) Hall, Berlin, Lucinda Brooks, North Carolina and Donald Carner, NY; her siblings, James Martin, Clifton Park, Pat Martin, Norwich and Patty Barlow, Glens Falls; her loving brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William and Shirley L. Walters and loving friend, Joyce Brimmer andmany grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews and a special friend, Donna Meissner. 

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 4-6 PM with a service at 6PM.  

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Dorothy M. Carner to the Brunswick Grange c/o Alice Grimsley 334 Moonlawn Road Troy, NY 12180.
