Doris E. (Paetzold) McNaney

Sand Lake -  Doris McNaney, 85, of West Sand Lake passed away on March 13, 2018 in her home with her loving family by her side.  

She was born in Binghamton, New York, daughter of the late Carl and Doris Paetzold.  Doris was raised in Wynantskill and attended Averill Park Schools.  She went on to become a Registered Nurse earning her BS/RN degree at Keuka College.  Doris dedicated much of her life to her family as a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt.  

She and her husband enjoyed many winters in sunny Inverness, Florida.  

Doris was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Robert E. McNaney, sister, Barbara Metzger, daughter, Susan E. Curtis, granddaughter, Eileen Anna Curtis and son-in-law, Michael Kehn.  

She is survived by her sister, Gail (Richard) Smialek; daughters, Cheryl (Daniel) Driggs, Cathy (David) Middleton and Stephanie (Mark) Kehn-Pickett; son-in-law, John (Michele) Curtis; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.  

Services in celebration of Doris’ life will be held at St. Henry’s Church on Sunday March 18, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. with a Mass at 4:00 p.m.  

In Doris’ memory, spend special time with your family and friends, something that she loved most. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doris McNaney’s name to West Sand Lake Volunteer Fire or Sand Lake Ambulance.
