Donna A. Hopkins-Leistman, 71

Troy - Donna A. Hopkins-Leistman, 71, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Thursday, May 1, 2014.

Born in Manhattan, she was daughter of the late Edwin Slater and Faye Golzen Slater. She was raised in Brooklyn for 14 years and resided in Levittown, NY before moving to Troy 20 years ago and attended Levittown High School.

Donna was owner/operator of a house cleaning business, Immaculate Homes in West Babylon, NY and worked several years at Bob's Diner in Watervliet.

She loved spending time with her family, serving up coffee time and watching reality tv.

Survivors include her 7 loving children, Kerri Girgenti, Jamie Hopkins, Kelly Hopkins, Nicholas Hopkins, Erin Hopkins, Stephanie Hopkins and Jessica Hopkins; Adored Nana to Robert, Alexander and Samantha Girgenti, Jacob and Aden Martell, Kiley Larive, Landen and Cash Kawczack and Devon Bascones; her siblings, Donald, Gary, Gerald and Michael Slater and Susan Lask and was cherished by many nieces, nephews, friends and family. She was predeceased by a grandson, Warren Hopkins and a brother, William Slater. Eternally a Child of God.

Relatives and friends may call at the Grace Baptist Church 612 Fourth Avenue Troy on Monday, May 5, 2014 from 12 noon to 2PM with a service to follow at 2PM with Rev. John Kolekes, Pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Elmwood Hill Cemetery Troy.
