Donna L. (Richardson) Eddy

Troy - Donna L. Richardson Eddy, 63, of Wendell Avenue died Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at Samaritan Hospital surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Frederick A. Richardson and Mary Jayne Hofnagle Richardson and wife for 41 years of Robert H.  Eddy. She had resided in Troy all her life and was a graduate of Troy High School class of 1969 and attended Hudson Valley Community College for accounting. 

Mrs. Eddy was a customer service representative for Verizon for 11 years retiring 7 years ago and formerly operated Yogi's Den preschool and after school in Troy for 15 years.  

She enjoyed, gardening, knitting, arts & crafts, cooking and especially spending all available time with her grandkids especially for ice cream.  She loved hosting parties and known for her backyard barbeques and Christmas in July.    

Survivors in addition to her husband include two daughters, Gretchen Eddy, Troy and Brooke (Joseph)  Quintal, Troy; four grandchildren, Dylan Quintal, Vivien Schissler, Hailey Quintal and Claire Schissler; a sister, Pamela Richardson, Troy and two nieces and a nephew, Jessica, Shannon and Tommy. 

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Thursday, December 4, 2014 from 4-8 PM. 

Funeral service will be held Friday at 9 AM at the funeral home and at 9:30 AM at St. Michael's Church Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. James Mackey, her cousin.

Interment will be in  Oakwood Cemetery Troy.
