Poestenkill - Devin J. Hover, 29, of Plank Road Poestenkill died suddenly Sunday, September 15, 2013, as the result of a house fire.

Born in Schenectady, he was son of John H. Hover and Georgia Skarzynski Hover and husband of Hillary Porter. He was raised in North Creek, NY and has resided in Poestenkill for the past 8 years.

Devin enjoyed collecting Indian artifacts, drawing, building and collecting model cars. He loved his car, swimming, being outdoors...he loved life.

Survivors in addition to his parents and wife include his step daughter, Markel Hover; his brothers, Timothy Edward and Thaddeous Thomas Hasbrouck, Phoenicia, NY; a step brother, Denny Lee Hover; a step sister, Lynette Marie Hover; his maternal grandmother, Vaughn Skarzynski; his aunts, Kathy Terk, Maureen Bower, Valerie Bidwell, Patricia Eisenhandler, Vikki Skarzynski, Tony and Amy Hover and Alice DeJalil; his uncles, Howard, Kevin and Timothy Hover and James Skarzynski; cousins, Dawn Stockdale, Cassie Phelan and Kimberly Hover-Gonzalez and many cousins, nieces and loving relatives. He was predeceased by a brother, Robbie LeRoy Hasbrouck and his maternal grandfather, Edward Skarzynski.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11AM at the Third Presbyterian Church 113 Winter Street Troy with Rev. John McAuley, Pastor, officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Devin J. Hover to Narcotics Anonymous 314 Columbus Avenue Pittsfield, MA 01201.
