East Greenbush - Delvin M. Dorminy, 54, of Johnny Place died Sunday, December 21, 2008 at Albany Memorial Hospital.
Born in Albany, GA , he was son of Mandell D. Dorminy of Albany, GA and Elizabeth Parker of Bainbridge, GA; step son of Hunter Parker and beloved husband of Sandra L. Bauer Dorminy.
He was raised in Albany, Georgia and resided in Waterford and East Greenbush for the past 8 years.
Delvin was a machine operator for Mohawk Paper Mills in Waterford for the past 7 years.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of East Greenbush. Delvin was a thoughtful, caring, compassionate man with a quirky sense of humor, continuous smile and enjoyment of fishing and sports. He was a true southern gentleman who enjoyed weekend getaways and Foxwoods.
Survivors in addition to his wife and parents include his daughters Lisa Renea Hand, Cynthia Amanda Dorminy both of Irmo, SC, Michelle Parsons of Pocatello, ID and Jillian Waldron of Troy; his grandchildren, Denise, Danielle, Alexander, Hannah, Briaunna, Collin, Deavan, Saydee, and Emma-Lee; his sisters , Karen Gargel and Pamela Flowers; a brother, Bruce Dorminy and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2:30 PM at Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy with Rev. Mari Clark, officiating.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Waterford.
