Clothilde (Chloe) Greene

Troy - Clothilde (Chloe) Greene died on Sunday, May 13, 2012. Clothilde was born on February 21, 1932 to James H. and Florence Fournier Greene in Herkimer, NY.

She is survived by two sisters both in NY, Lucille Grabowski of Johnstown and Mary Hedges Greene of Rochester and several nieces, nephews and their families. In addition, her two devoted friends Alice Schell and Judi Steiger. She was predeceased by five siblings, brothers, James, John and Tom and sisters, Pauline Greene and Shirley Campbell.

Clothilde retired in 1994 from the State Education Department. She was a communicant of St. Bonaventure's Church. She resided several years at Diamond Ridge Retirement Community and participated in many activities there. She will be missed by many for her lively conversations and razor sharp wit.

A memorial service will be held Saturday June 2nd at 1PM at the Gardner Earl Chapel of Oakwood Cemetery 186 Oakwood Avenue Troy with Rev. Edward Kacerguis, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Chloe Greene to The Dominican Sisters of Hope, 320 Powell Avenue, Newburgh, NY 12550-3412.
