Clarence W. Lovell , 90

Wynantskill Clarence W. Lovell , 90 ,of Woodridge Road Wynantskill, died Tuesday, October 26, 2004 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy after a long illness.

Born in Hoosick Falls, he was the son of the late William Lovell and Ida (Hall) Lovell and was married to the late Bessie A. Mathews for 25 years prior to his marriage for the past 32 years to Edith W. Volkmann Lovell.

He was raised in Hoosick Falls and resided in North Troy for many years and in Wynantskill for the past 32 years and was educated at Hoosick Falls schools and Troy Business College.

Mr. Lovell was an accountant for the New York State Department of Labor in the finance office for 38 years, retiring in 1975.

He was a member of the Hi-Way Recreation Bowling League in Wynantskill, the Third Presbyterian Church in Troy and a former member of the Germania Hall Association. He was a Staff Sargent in the Army during World War II in the 106th Infantry, the 10th Mountain Infantry and the Quartermaster Corp.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two daughters, Diane B. McCooey (David) of Tampa, FL and Bonnie J. Stout (Rob) of Averill Park; a son, Kenneth B. Wait (Michele) of Poestenkill; seven grandchildren, Tracy, Courtney, Joshua, Darcy, Deanna, Ashley and Nicholas; a sister, Jayne Hanselman (Edward) of Hoosick Falls and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service which will be held Saturday, October 30, 2004 at 11:00 AM at the Third Presbyterian Church 113 Winter Street Troy with Rev. John McAuley, officiating. Interment Maple Grove Cemetery, in Hoosick Falls, NY In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Lovell to the Third Presbyterian Church 113 Winter Street Troy, NY 12180.
