Christopher M. Premo, 34

North Greenbush - Christopher M. Premo, 34, of Pershing Avenue died Monday, July 29, 2013, at Albany Medical Center Hospital.

Born in Albany, he was son of Mark J. Premo Sr. and Margie A. (Quackenbush) Premo and husband of Alyssa M. (Helwig) Premo. He had resided on Snyders Lake all his life and was a graduate of Averill Park High School and attended Hudson Valley Community College.

Chris was employed as a foreman for Hudson River Construction Company, Inc. in Albany for the past 8 years.

He was a member of the Bailey Mountain Gun Club and the Fall and Winter Thursday night bowling league at Hi-Way Recreation in Wynantskill. He was active with his son, Nicholas' t-ball and baseball leagues.

Chris had such a glorious zest for life and embraced it with a vitality that made everyone smile and want to follow. His love of the water lasted throughout the seasons that included family time on the pontoon, jet skiing, fishing with his kids, and four-wheeling on the ice. Aside from his love of the lake, Chris was the life of any party or get-together. He could light up any room with his beautiful eyes and smile. His presence was so captivating and magical, which left a lasting impression upon those who had the joy of being in his company. He could make you believe any story whether it was true or exaggerated.

Along with being an exceptional son, brother, and uncle, Chris was also a magnificent husband. Chris and Alyssa had a one-of-a-kind marriage. The devotion and true love they were able to share was admired by all. They lived their lives not only as a husband and wife, but as the best of friends. Chris was also a very devoted and loving father. His greatest achievements were his children, wife, and all of the wonderful surroundings he created for them. The love and pride he had for his children was so powerful and the dedication was so recognizable. Even after a hard 14 hour day of work, his first priority was playing and cuddling with his children.

Survivors in addition to his wife and parents include his children, Nicholas R. and Addison J. Premo; his siblings, Mark J. (Shannon) Premo Jr., West Sand Lake, Daniel E. (Jamie) Premo, Troy, Julie A. (Lee) Lobdell, Averill Park; his father-in-law, Robert R. Helwig (Debbie Lagas), Glenville, his mother-in-law, Cynthia A. Helwig; his brother-in-law, Jason Helwig, Glenville and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also remembered by several nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly, including: Tyler, Ayden, Conner, Hailey, Hannah, Olivia, and Lee Jr.
