Charles F. 'Kaz' Wysocki, 87

Troy - Charles F. 'Kaz' Wysocki, 87, of Spring Avenue died Friday, January 09, 2009, at Northwoods at Troy.

Born in Cohoes, he was son of the late Stanislaus Wysocki and Johanna Kalinowska Wysocki and husband of Carolyn Walsh Wysocki. He had resided in the Cohoes and Troy areas all his life and attended Cohoes schools.

Mr. Wysocki was employed as a mechanic for many years with Operating Engineers Local 106.

He loved to fish and dance the polka and was an active Communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Troy, serving as usher for 25 years. He was in the Civilian Conservation Camps in Gallupville, NY and Utah. He was an Army veteran of World War II stationed in Italy, receiving the Purple Heart.

Survivors in addition to his wife include his two children, Sr. Anne Stephen CSJ, Binghamton and James (Rosemarie) Wysocki, Clifton Park and a grandson, Matthew Wysocki. He was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and John Wysocki and a sister, Stacia Hebert.

Funeral service will be held Monday, at 10 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy and at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, from 3 - 7 PM.

Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Troy.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Charles Wysocki to the Sisters of St. Joseph Retirement Fund 385 Watervliet-Shaker Road Latham, NY 12110 or Sacred Heart Church Memorial Fund 310 Spring Avenue Troy, NY 12180.
