Charles 'Ed' Beaudoin

Charles Edward 'Ed' Beaudoin, 79 Edgewater, FL Charles Edward 'Ed' Beaudoin, 79, of Shangrila Circle, died suddenly Thursday at Samaritan Hospital Troy. Born in Troy, he was son of the late Charles Joseph and Rose Maltais Beaudoin and husband of Mary Campano Beaudoin of Florida. He had resided on Spring Avenue in Troy for several years and in Florida since 1985 and attended LaSalle Institute and Troy High School. Mr. Beaudoin was a smelter and fireman for the Watervliet Arsenal for 10 years retiring in 1965. He was a Life Member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart and Past Commander of Region 1 of New York State ; a member of the American Legion Edgewater, Florida; Disabled American Veteran's Troy and was very active in the Corporal Arthur Willy Chapter of the Purple Heart in North Troy. He was an Army corporal in the 27th Division, 105th Infantry medical detachment during World War II. Mr. Beaudoin was a former communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Troy. Survivors in addition to his wife include a son Thomas Beaudoin and wife Susan of Saratoga Springs; three daughters Denise LaGrange of Wynantskill, Joann Deeb and husband Robert of Charlottesville, VA and Susan Beaudoin of Alplaus; a brother Arthur Beaudoin of Philmont; eight grandchildren Joshua and Lisa LaGrange, John-Michael Deeb, Peter, Robert and Stephen Deeb and Abigail and Elizabeth Beaudoin and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Elizabeth Beaudoin Mochon. Funeral service will be held Monday at 9:00am from the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. corner of Pawling at Maple Avenue Troy and at 9:30am from Sacred Heart Church in Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 2-5pm. Interment will be held in the Saratoga National Cemetery.
