Catherine Theresa McCarty Jones, 86

Albany-Catherine Theresa McCarty Jones, 86, of Albany County Nursing Home, died Friday, October 28, 2005 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn in Albany, after a long illness, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Nyack, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph McCarty and Mary (Martin) McCarty and wife of the late William H. Jones.

She had resided many years ago in Watervliet and was educated at Bronx schools.

Mrs. Jones was a waitress at LaSalle School in Albany for 15 years, retiring 20 years ago.

She is survived by three daughters, Eleanor Jones (Dana Purdy) of Troy, Lorraine Motzer (Hank) of Rensselaer and Catherine Hallenbeck (Bob) of Albany; three sons, Kenneth Jones (Gail) of Schodack, John Jones of Colonie and Thomas Jones (Irene) of Colonie; also two loving daughters-in-law, Dee Jones of Watervliet and Sandra K. Jones of East Greenbush; 13 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, William Jones; her twin sister, Eleanor Reilly and three grandchildren, William, Kim and Denise.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 11am at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy with Rev. Glen A. Hamilton, Pastor of the Rensselaer Open Bible Baptist Church, officiating.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 4-8 pm.

Interment St. Peter's Cemetery in Troy.
