Carolyn M. (Meredith) Reynolds

Ballston Lake - Carolyn Meredith Reynolds, 93, of Cass Court Ballston Lake died Thursday, July 2, 2015, at her son’s residence after a brief  illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Russell D. Meredith and Gladys M. van Zandt Meredith and wife of the late Raymond D.  Reynolds. She was a graduate of Emma Willard School and Wheaton College in Norton, MA class of 1944. She had resided at Ballston Lake since 1995. 

Mrs. Reynolds was employed as an  Operations Analyst for Auxiliary Services at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for 25 years, retiring in 1987.  

She was active in the Parkside YMCA in Glenville, the Academy For Lifelong Learning in Saratoga and the Burnt Hills United Methodist Church. She was a  former member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Troy and the Junior League of Troy.    

Survivors include a son, Richard E. (Joanne) Reynolds, Burnt Hills; a daughter, Dr. Ann E. Reynolds, Seattle, four grandchildren, Jeffrey R. (Jennifer LaPorte) Reynolds, Mechanicville, Lindsay R. (John) Armbruster, Scotia,  Lauren R. (Joshua) Kirkham, Scotia and Megan R. (Alexander) James, East Syracuse; three great grandchildren, Mason and Charlotte Armbruster and Leo Kirkham; a nephew, Richard van Zandt Meredith III and a niece, Susan Meredith.  She was predeceased by a son, David D. Reynolds and 2 brothers, R. Dudley Meredith Jr. and Richard V.Z. Meredith.

There will be no calling hours.

Funeral service will be held Monday July 6, 2015 at 11AM at Burnt Hills United Methodist Church 816 NY Route 50 Burnt Hills  with Rev.  Holly Nye, Pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in  Oakwood Cemetery Troy.
