Blanche A. Bonzanini Gilbert, 87

Troy- Blanche A. Bonzanini Gilbert, 87,of Hamilton Avenue, died suddenly Thursday, November 23, 2006 at her residence.

Born in Pittsfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Bonzanini and Blanche (Hopkins) Bonzanini and wife of the late Robert I. Gilbert.

She had resided in Troy most of her life.

Blanche was an assistant for her husband in Gilbert Photographic Studios in Troy and an antiques dealer for many years. She was loved by her family and as a high-end antiques dealer, by her customers. As a young woman, she did modeling in Washington, DC.

She is survived by a son, Robert I. Gilbert, Jr. of Troy; a daughter, Barbara C. Gilbert of Cohoes; two step children, Susan Hallop of CA and Richard Gilbert of Honeoye Falls, NY, three grandchildren, Lisa Freer and Adam and Zach Hallop; two step grandsons, Jeffrey Gilbert and Robert Gilbert III and a niece, Diane Hartnagle of Cohoes. She was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Gietian and a brother, Joseph Bonzanini.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 7PM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy with Rev. John McAuley, officiating. Contributions may be made in memory of Blanche Gilbert to the American Heart Association 440 New Karner Road Albany, NY 12205.
