We express our sympathy to Gail and her family on the loss of Ben. He was an exceptional gentleman and a true friend for over 40 years. His commitment to various mathematical organizations showed true devotion. We became friends through our work together with the HMVAMC and AMTNYS and the NYSAMS.
You are already missed Ben. God Speed.

Dear Gail,
I am so sorry for your loss of Ben, a warm, intelligent, responsible and caring man....I always enjoyed working with him on college class reunions and although 5 years had passed each time, we just continued as if time had stood still....His pain is gone now, and rest assured he will be watching over you......
Fondly,
Richard Feldman

My condolences are sent to the Lindeman family. Ben was an excellent representative of the Class of 1957 of SUNY Albany. He contributed to our classmates and the education world in general. He was a gentle gentleman and will be sorely missed.

Thank you to Ben for the great workshop he once did for us on manipulatives for elementary teachers. He was always supportive when we needed help or resources. Eternally pleasant and needless to say, an expert in our field.
I also enjoyed and learned a lot by working with him (and his Math Bureau colleagues) on the old Sequential Math Revision Comm. at NYSED where UFT MTC.
His workshops at AMTNYS and other venues were delightful, helpful, and relevant. I tried to attend as many of them as I could. Informal chats with him, usually at AMTNYS meetings, were always a joy.

It was a pleasure and an honor to work with and know Ben through AMTNYS. A true gentleman and math mentor. The mathematics education community is the poorer for your passing.

Benny was one of the best men I have ever known. He was very kind, thoughtful, enthusiastic, dignified and respectable, a real role model. He was a very good friend and I will miss him. I will always try to live up to the example he set. My mother and father, Margery and Norman, really liked him also and I am sure that they will be glad to see him again.

My sincere sympathy to Mr. Lindeman's family. He was my advanced algebra teacher at APHS. I think it was in 1970-71. I was not the best math student in the world, but he was so patient that I did well. A very kind person. So sorry for your loss.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in God's sure promise of a resurrection as set forth in the Bible. (Acts 24:15; John 5:28,29) Those who are raised to life will have the prospect of never again being subject to misery, sickness, or death. (Revelation 21:4) I hope that reflecting on these thoughts will give you some relief during this difficult time.
