Barbara Ann Burns Keefe, 77

Lakeland, FL - Barbara Ann Burns Keefe, 77, of Lakeland Harbor Blvd. died Monday, August 30, 2010, at her residence after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Joseph Burns and Esther Ferguson Burns and wife for 58 years of John J. Keefe. She had resided in Troy most of her life and the past 5 years in Lakeland, Florida and was a 1951 graduate of Catholic Central High School.

Mrs. Keefe was a clerk for the New York State Retirement System in Albany for 20 years retiring 20 years ago.

She enjoyed tole painting, reading, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren and was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Troy.

Survivors in addition to her husband include her children, Jeannine (Clem Borchers) Keefe of Ashland, MA, Thomas Keefe of Troy and Kathleen (Joseph) Styczynski of Wynantskill; her grandchildren, Jack and Kyle Styczynski and T.J. Hathaway and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Edward Burns.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy with Rev. James J. Vaughan, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday prior to the service from 10-11 AM.
