Arthur Kazanjian

Troy Arthur Kazanjian, 83, of Marshland Court, died Wednesday at St. Mary's
Hospital Troy, after a brief illness. 

Born in Troy, he was son of the late Kapriel  and Mary Vartigian Kazanjian and
husband of the late Virginia Jaffarian Kazanjian. He had resided in the Troy area
all his life and was a graduate of School 14 and Troy High School.

Mr. Kazanjian was produce manager for Pioneer Food Market on Congress Street
in Troy which he operated with his brothers for 50 years until their retirement in
1990. 

He was a member of St. Peter Armenian Apostolic Church in Watervliet and he
served in the army during World War II in the Normandy invasion. 
     
Survivors include a daughter Carole Kazanjian Smith of Troy; a son Arthur Paul
Kazanjian and wife JoAnn of Troy; two brothers Leo Kazanjian of Latham and
Edward Kazanjian of Niskayuna; four grandchildren Jennifer and Lauren Smith
and Andrea and Andrew Kazanjian and 11 nieces and nephews.  He was
predeceased by a brother Andrew Kazanjian.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 9:30am from the Bryce Funeral Home Inc.
corner of  Pawling Avenue at Maple Avenue Troy and at 10:00am from St. Peter
Armenian Apostolic Church 100 Troy- Schenectady Road Watervliet with Rev.
Stepanos Doudoukjian, Pastor of the St. Peter Armenian Apostolic, officiating.

Interment Elmwood Hill Cemetery in Troy. 

Contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Kazanjian to St. Peter Armenian
Apostolic Church 100 Troy- Schenectady Road Watervliet, NY 12189.
