Arlene Chambers Hiscox, 99

North Greenbush - Arlene Chambers Hiscox, 99, formerly of Grandview Ave in Wynantskill died Monday, March 16, 2009, at Albany Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late James R. and Florence Chambers and wife of the late John S. Hiscox. She had resided in Wynantskill for over 55 years and was a graduate of Troy High School class of 1928.

Mrs. Hiscox was employed at the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance.

She was a member of First United Presbyterian Church in Troy.

Survivors include a sister, Helen Chambers Burrill of Menlo Park, CA; a niece, Marjorie Chamberlain of San Jose, CA; a nephew, James Burrill of Redwood City, CA; grand nieces and nephew Amanda Chamberlain, Benjamin Burrill and Charlotte Fischer; her caregiver, Jeanne Pryor Stinson of Averill Park and a special friend, Robin Sewell. She was predeceased by two sisters, Mary H. and Marjorie Chambers.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 9AM at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy with Rev. Alexandra Lusak, officiating.

Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery Troy.
