Anthony D. Milanese

West Sand Lake - Anthony D. Milanese, 78, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, February 19, 2017, at Albany Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Troy, he was son of the late Anthony V. Milanese and Helen Styczynski Milanese and husband for 53 years of Lorraine Carroll Milanese. He was raised in Troy and resided in West Sand Lake since 1969 and was a graduate of LaSalle Institute. 

Tony was a salesman for Pepsi Bottling Company in Menands for 30 years.  

He was an Air Force veteran.

His greatest joy in life was being surrounded by his family and sharing his homemade sauce, meatballs, and eggplant parmesan.

Survivors in addition to his wife include a daughter, Lori (Michael) Brown, Wynantskill; three sons,  Michael  (Maureen) Milanese, Plattsburgh, Daniel Milanese, West Sand Lake and Joseph (Gina) Milanese, Sr., Wynantskill; seven grandchildren, Chelsea, Julia, Gabriel and Victoria Brown and Anthony, Joseph Jr. and Daniel Milanese; a great grandchild, Jayce Pratt; two sisters, Sandy (Robert) Beston, Watervliet and Gloria (Gene) Burns, Troy and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Anthony Milanese; a brother, Richard Milanese and two sisters, Joan Claus and Mary Kane.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 4-7 PM.  A prayer service will follow at 7PM. 

A Memorial service will be held  at Christ Church United Methodist 35 State St, Troy on Saturday at 11AM.  A city parking garage is available around the corner on Fifth Avenue.
