Anna M. Atchinson, 97

Troy Anna M. Atchinson, 97, of Spring Avenue, died Sunday at her residence after a long illness.

Born in Albany, she was daughter of the late Mary McTague and wife of the late William Atchinson. She had resided in Nassau, NY for many years and since 1997 in Troy. She was educated at Albany schools and was a graduate of Albany High School.

Mrs. Atchinson was a candy maker for Paul Anast Candies in Albany for many years, retiring 30 years ago.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Nassau Fire Company.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law Virginia Watkins of Albany and a son-in-law Paul Laib of North Carolina and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Alfred Watkins and a daughter, Joyce Laib.

Funeral service private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Interment Memory's Garden in Colonie.
