Anita B. (Karl) Wingert

East Greenbush - Anita B. Karl Wingert, 97, formerly of Beechwood Apartments Troy died Thursday, September 10, 2015, at Evergreen Commons after a long illness.

Born in Averill Park, she was daughter of the late William H. Karl and Irene Judd Karl and wife of the late Edmund J.  Wingert.  She was raised in Averill Park and Wynantskill and had resided on Young’s Place in Latham for 50 years. She was a graduate of Averill Park High School class of 1937. 

Mrs. Wingert was a personnel manager at Montgomery Ward in Menands for 41 years, retiring in 1967.   

She was a member of the Berlin Mountain Fish and Game Club and Colonie Lodge Of Elks #2192.    

Survivors include two nephews, Scott (Susan) Kennedy, Wynantskill and David (Sue) Kennedy, Averill Park, one niece, Donna (Tom) Lauricella, Florida and several great nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a sister, Gretchen Kennedy.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 from 10-11AM with a funeral service to follow at 11AM with Rev. Thomas F. Holmes, Pastor of St. Henry’s Church, officiating. 

Interment will be in St. Henry's Cemetery Averill Park
