Andrew R. Stacy, 56

Averill Park-Andrew R. Stacy, 56,of Miller Hill Road, died suddenly Saturday, October 1, 2005 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.

Born in Troy, he was the son of Doris (Perry) Stacy of Averill Park and the late Nicholas Stacy and husband of Carol A. Gray Stacy.

He had resided in Averill Park most of his life and was a 1967 graduate of Averill Park High School, and a graduate of Russell Sage College and did his graduate work at Amherst College.

Andy was a research scientist for the New York State Department of Health in Albany for 36 years.

He was a member of Church of the Covenant in Averill Park and an avid fisherman, master craftsman in woodworking and an avid photographer.

Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include his daughter, Danielle C. Stacy of Averill Park, a brother, Nicholas Stacy (Virginia) of Farmington, NY; a sister, Reatha A. Williams (David) of Pownell, VT; two brothers-in-law, Val Gray of Averill Park and Russell Gray (Leigh Ann) of Monroe, CT and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held Friday at 7:30 PM at the Church of the Covenant Route 43 Averill Park with Rev. Richard Neal, Pastor, officiating.
