Andrew J. Kopris, 84

Clifton Park - Andrew J. Kopris, 84, of Route 146 died Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at his residence after a long illness.

Born in Alexandria, VA, he was son of the late Alexander and Edna Baronowski Kopris and husband for 54 years of Carol Noble Kopris. He had resided in Schenectady, Germany, Massachusetts and in Clifton Park since 1966.

Mr. Kopris was an Air Force veteran, retiring after 20 years of service as a Staff Sergeant. He later worked in administration at Albany Medical Center many years ago and prior to that was employed in the same capacity at Albany VA Hospital and also worked for Northway Auto Exchange.

Andy was an avid roller skater most of his life, at the Rollarama Skating Center in Schenectady doing dance skating. He enjoyed reading science fiction and tinkering with cars.

Survivors in addition to his wife include three sons, Glenn (Stacy) Kopris, Ballston Spa, Gary Kopris, Schenectady and Craig (Kean) Kopris, Maryland; a daughter, Kristin (Tom) Kenneally, Burnt Hills; three grandchildren, Dayton, Paige, Aaron Kenneally; two sisters, Kitty Baginski and Teddy (Don) Harms and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Sunday, from 4-7 PM.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 10:30 AM at the funeral home and at 11 AM at Sacred Heart Church Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. John Yanas, Pastor, officiating.
