Alyce M. (Avakian) Garabedian

Latham - Alyce Avakian Garabedian, 91, died suddenly Monday, January 29, 2018, at North Naples Hospital, Naples, FL.
 
Born and raised in Troy, she was daughter of the late Michael Avakian and Mary Jaffarian Avakian and wife of the late Matthew Garabedian.  She was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. As a lifelong member of Holy Cross Armenian Apostolic Church in Troy, she was an active participant in the Church choir and Ladies Guild.   
 
Survivors include a son, Matthew M. (Cynthia) Garabedian; a daughter-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Garabedian; a brother-in-law, Thomas Garabedian and four grandchildren, Michael (Gina), David, Stephen and Kristen Garabedian. She was predeceased by her son, Bruce J. Garabedian and her siblings, Anne, Rose and Ralph M. Avakian.
 
Relatives and friends may call at Holy Cross Armenian Apostolic Church  255 Spring Avenue Troy on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 1-2 PM with a service at 2 PM with Rev. Fr. Bedros Shetilian officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy.
