Alida C. Folderman Behnke, 97

East Greenbush-Alida C. Folderman Behnke, 97, formerly of Hidley Road North Greenbush, died Sunday, October 2, 2005 at Evergreen Commons in East Greenbush after a long illness.

Born on the Bloomingdale Farm on Edwards Road in North Greenbush, she was the daughter of the late Marcus and Hattie Folderman and wife of the late Elmer H. Behnke.

She had resided in North Greenbush most of her life.

Mrs. Behnke was a homemaker and for many years worked with her husband logging at their sawmill on Old 56 Road in East Poestenkill.

She was a lifelong member of the First Reformed Church of Wynantskill.

Survivors include a daughter, Elsie Iwanowicz also of Evergreen Commons East Greenbush; 6 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Mae E. Black and a brother, Joseph Folderman.

Funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy with Rev. Kerri Haveman, Pastor of the First Reformed Church of Wynantskill, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 4-8 PM. Interment Eagle Mills Cemetery.
