Alice (Khachadourian) Shahinian

Niskayuna - Alice Khachadourian Shahinian, 92, of Lexington Parkway died Sunday, March 26, 2017, at her residence after a brief illness.

Born in Syria, she was daughter of the late Hagop Khachadourian and Elizabeth Hasserjian Khachadourian and wife of the late Paul Boghos Shahinian. She was  raised in Syria and resided in Beirut, Lebanon before moving to the US in 1957. She resided in the Albany area for the past 63 years. 

Alice was dedicated homemaker and loved being with family.  She was a loving mother who enjoyed  cooking, sewing and embroidery. She was fluent in 5 languages and always very fashionably.   

Survivors include her children,  Ara Shahinian, Troy, Shahe (Lynn) Shahinian, Clifton Park, Vahe (Vickie) Shahinian, Troy,  and Ani Shahinian, Niskayuna; her beloved sister, Violet Keleshian, Albany;  her grandchildren, Anthony, Gina, Tamar, Nora, Benjamin, Paul, Jacob, and Daniel; her great granddaughter, Evah; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter-in-law,  Patricia Shahinian and her siblings, Jemilah, Khachig, and Gayzag.

Relatives and friends may call at the St. Peter Armenian Apostolic Church  100 Troy-Schenectady Road Watervliet on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 9:30-10AM prior to the service at 10AM  with Rev. Stepanos Doudoukjian , officiating.

Interment will be in  Albany Rural Cemetery Menands.
