Scott Nissen Obituary

Stephentown - Scott E. Nissen, 49, died suddenly Saturday, April 6, 2024 in Stephentown.

Born in Troy, he was son of Janet Matt Hultz and the late Edward Nissen and husband of Stephanie Carll Melendez. He had resided in Rensselaer County all his life and was a graduate of Troy High School.

Scott was a Direct Support Professional for Living Resources. He was an avid video gamer and loved his dog DeeDee, dad jokes, and Sci-Fi.

Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include his children, Bethany Melendez and Elladio Melendez; his brother, Chris (Nicole) Nissen and 2 nephews.
