Brunswick - Alexander S. Holcomb, 23, died Thursday, April 04, 2024, at St. Peter's Hospital after a hard fought battle with lymphoma.
Born in Troy, he was the son of Shane J. Holcomb and Cynthia Moore Holcomb. He was a lifelong resident of Brunswick and was a graduate of Averill Park High School, attended Albany College of Pharmacy and earned his Associate’s degree from Hudson Valley Community College in June of 2023.
Alexander was a radiological technologist for St. Peter's Hospital in Albany for the past year.
He played Varsity Tennis, Twin Town Little League for 10 years, played alto sax and piano in the Averill Park High School Jazz Band and got to perform at Carnegie Hall. He enjoyed time with his friends, playing PlayStation, travel, the out of doors and especially Cape Cod, his animals, the Yankees and Cowboys, knowing all the team details.
Survivors in addition to his parents include his maternal grandparents, Karen Moore and (late Robert); paternal grandparents, Donna (William) and Drew Holcomb (Late Linda); Aunts and Uncles Colleen Moore, Eric Moore, Donna Moore, Audrey (late Larry) Morin and Cherie (Don) Swatling-Holcomb, Michelle Melius, and his cousins, Evealise (Joseph) Costanza, Aimee (Brent) Vaughn, Rebecca (Ian) Lloyd, Joseph (Erica) Moore, Matthew J. Morin, Eric L. Morin, Julie (Brett) Morin, Matthew J. Morin Jr, Kristin Morin, Jesse (Emily) Swatling, Samantha (Steven) Swatling, Gail (Joe) Willsey, Bonnie Holcomb.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 4-7 PM with funeral service following at 7PM with Rev. Kathy Coons, officiating.
