Brunswick - Willie Joseph Johnson, Jr., 49, of Brunswick died suddenly, Saturday, March 14, 2015, at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.

Born in Albany, he was the fiancée to Mary A. Corbin and son of Willie Joseph Johnson, Sr., Selkirk and the late Lizzie McIntosh Johnson. Raised in Selkirk, he spent most of his life in the Brunswick and Wynantskill areas. He was a graduate of Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central Schools, attended Rochester Institute of Technology, and was a 1988 graduate of New York State Police Academy. 

After graduating the NYS Police Academy, Willie began as a State Trooper in the Selkirk Barracks and later was transferred to Brunswick. He was a New York State Trooper for 21 years retiring in 2009.

Willie enjoyed traveling, listening to music, spending time in nature, and loved animals, particularly horses. 

Survivors in addition to his fiancée and father, include his sisters, Cheryl Johnson, Albany, Yvette Allen, New Rochelle, Sheila (Nigel) Harding, Hastings-On-Hudson and his nephews, S. Riccardo Allen and Jordan, Miles, Brandon, and Ian Harding.  He is also survived by his fiancées parents Paul and Kathy Corbin, sisters Debbie (Tod) Taber, Susan (Tom) James, Anne (Joe) Ferrannini, Jackie Corbin and her son Ryan and Kristin (Scott) Becker, and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc., 276 Pawling Avenue, Troy on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 from 3 - 7 PM.  A memorial service will follow at 7PM.
