William J. Wronowski, 90

Wynantskill - William J. Wronowski, 90,of Todd Drive, died Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, he was the son of the late John Wronowski and Eva (Mytar) Wronowski and husband for 60 years of Eliza Mikhitarian Wronowski. He was blessed to celebrate his 90th birthday and 60th wedding anniversary this past year.

He had resided in the Troy area all his life and attended Troy High School.

Mr. Wronowski was employed as an offset printer for the New York State Department of Labor in Albany for 10 years retiring in 1981 and prior to that was owner and operated of Shufon Tailors in North Troy for 20 years.

He was a member of the Troy Lodge of Elks, a past director of the Troy Polish Community Club, a past member of Holy Names of Holy Trinity Church, a communicant of St. Williams Church in Troy and an avid Yankees fan. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors in addition to his wife include a son, Thomas C. Wronowski (Susan) of Latham; two grandchildren, the joys of his life, Catherine E. Wronowski and David W. Wronowski; a brother, Stanley J. Wronowski (Rose) of Eagle Mills and FL.; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jack Mikhitarian (Mary), Mary Bernstein, Dorothy Donelian and Harry Mikhitarian (Dorothy) all of Troy and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Michael and Peter Wronowski.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 9:30am at St. William's Church in Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 4-8pm. Interment Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
