William J. Tymula

William J. Tymula, 62

Snyders Lake- William J. Tymula, 62,of North Greenbush, died Monday, February 13, 2006 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy after a long illness.

Born in Niskayuna, he was the son of the late Joseph Tymula and Elizabeth (Thackery) Tymula and husband for 42 years of Carol Sitterley Tymula.

He was raised in Colonie and resided at Snyders Lake since 1965 and was educated at Colonie Central schools.

Mr. Tymula was a machinist for the D&H Railroad in Watervliet for 25 years, retiring 10 years ago.

He was a Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast, building several trikes, entered many shows and he won many trophies for showing his bikes. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Sullivan-Jones VFW Post in Poestenkill and was a Navy veteran.

Survivors in addition to his wife include five daughters, Sherry VanBuren (James) of Wynantskill, Cindy Mohamed of Averill Park, Shelby Olsen (Chad) of Clifton Park, Kristi Ryan (Daryl) of Wynantskill and Becky Tymula (Richard Burke) of Stephentown; three grandchildren, Hannah and Samantha VanBuren and Omar Mohamed and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Joseph William Tymula, a sister, Joann Rynski and a brother, Frank Tymula.

Funeral service will be held Thursday at 8:00 AM at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 4392 Route 150 West Sand Lake and at 9:00 AM at St. Clare's Church 1947 Central Avenue Colonie where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Thomas Konopka.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 4-8 PM.
