Alice H. Manning, 98 Troy Alice H. Sevenance Manning, 98, of Albert Street, died Thursday at Van Rensselaer Manor North Greenbush, after a long illness. Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late George A. and Elizabeth Egleston Severance and wife of William E. Manning. She had resided in the Troy area all her life and was educated at Troy schools and Troy Business College. Mrs. Manning was employed at Merideth Advertising in Troy as a stenographer many years ago and was a receptionist at the Troy YWCA . She was a member of the Pawling Avenue United Methodist Church in Troy, a Sunday school teacher at the church, a past president of Troy Public School 15 PTA and a member of the East Side Senior Citizens. Survivors in addition to her husband include her daughter Doris E. Vickers of Troy; a grandson Eric E. Vickers of Troy and a sister Ruth E. Pfeiffer of Troy. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service which will be held Saturday May 12, 2001at 11am at Pawling Avenue United Methodist Church 520 Pawling Avenue Troy with Rev. Peter Kelly, Pastor of the Pawling Avenue United Methodist Church, officiating. There will be no calling hours. Interment Elmwood Hill Cemetery in Troy.
