William R. Connor , 52

Troy William R. Connor , 52,of Lansing Avenue Troy died Thursday, November 4, 2004 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Russell Connor and Carolyn (Curtis) Connor.

He had resided in Troy all his life and was a graduate of Troy High School and Hudson Valley Community College class of 1972 from the Environmental Sciences Program.

Bill was employed as a Senior Lab Assistant at Hudson Valley Community College for 28 years.

He was an active environmentalist and enjoyed camping, canoeing, backpacking and hiking in the Adirondacks.

He is survived by a brother, James C. Connor (Donna) of Gansevoort and several special friends, Sue, Uldis, Peg and Moe Vitolins, William and Barbara Cocco and Brian Forman.

A memorial service will be held Friday, November 12, 2004 at 7:00pm at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy with Rev. Peter Kelly, Pastor of Pawling Avenue United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment Albany Rural Cemetery in Menands.
