Troy - William G. Caulkins, 82, of Bott Lane Troy died Saturday, September 1, 2012, at Williamstown Commons after a long illness.
Born in Cohoes, he was son of the late Frederick Caulkins and Loretta Schabot Caulkins and husband of Julia A. Quinlan Caulkins. He had resided in Troy all his life and was a graduate of St. Joseph's School in Cohoes.
Mr. Caulkins was a roofer for Joyce and Cramer in Albany for 15 years, retiring14 years ago and prior to that was a self employed blacksmith.
Survivors in addition to his wife include a daughter, Christine Ann Caulkins, Troy; a son, William C. (Delores) Caulkins, Eagle Mills; a sister, Margaret Roy, Troy; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Frederick Caulkins and two sisters, Elizabeth Caulkins and Ann Sheehan.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Tuesday from 4-7 PM.
Funeral service will be held at at the funeral home Wednesday at 11AM with Rev. Randall Patterson, officiating.
Interment will be in Eagle Mills Cemetery.
