Albany - W. Wallace Bardwell, on September 19, 2013, left this world to join beloved and dearly departed family members, parents Ralph and Zella (Kelly) Bardwell, brother Bobby, son Walter and granddaughter Elisha. Wally is survived by his sister Shirley (Bardwell) Lewis, brother Ralph Bardwell, brother Lewis Bardwell and sister Sunny (Bardwell) Sweet, four of his five ex-wives, many children, even more grandchildren and one precious great-grandchild.
Born in Hebron, New York, Wally took leave of his hometown early and lived everywhere from California to Buffalo.
A man of many talents, Wally held jobs in everything from sales to a trucking, though his greatest career success came after graduating from Coleman College in San Diego, California and going on to work in Computer Systems Analysis and Technical Support for the University of Illinois, BRS/Dataware Technologies and Farm Family Insurance Company.
Wally is remembered fondly and missed dearly by those who were closest to him. He was loving and sensitive; funny and charming. He was a good friend and a respected confidante. For those of us that are so sadly left behind, we look forward to seeing Wally again some day. We know he will be decked out in his Tony Lama cowboy boots and Levi's jeans, waiting for each one of us with a sarcastic comment and a smile, a PBR in one hand and a Pall Mall in the other.
