Vincent J. Mainillo Sr.

Bennington, VT - Vincent J. Mainillo Sr., 77, of South Street Bennington died suddenly Monday, June 16, 2014.

Born in Troy, he was son of the late Rocco Mainello and Lucy Dieniz Mainello and husband of Janet Michaels and the late Joan Catherine Yetto Mainillo. He had resided in the Troy area until moving to Benningtion, VT in 2011.

Mr. Mainillo worked construction most of his life. He retired as a mason in 1998 from Bonacquisti Construction in Albany.

As a young man he raised and trained horses. He loved to swim, camping at Lake Lauderdale, Cambridge and motorcycles.

Survivors in addition to his wife include his children, Vincent (Antoinette) Mainillo Jr., West Sand Lake, Linda (Timothy) Cherry, Troy, George Mainillo, East Greenbush and Joseph Mainillo, Clifton Park; three step children, James and David Michaels and Lynne Wilson; his grandchildren, David Suitto and Tahja Reynolds; two great grandchildren, Jessica Suitto and David Suitto Jr.; 8 step grandchildren; 11 step great grandchildren; his siblings, Nancy Capuano, Sycaway and Dominick Mainello, Sycaway and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Deborah Reynolds and his siblings, Rose Colongione and John and Carmel Mainello.

Relatives and friends may call at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 4392 Route 150 West Sand Lake on Friday, June 20, 2014 from 4-7 PM.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Thomas F. Holmes, officiating.

Interment will be in St. Henry's Cemetery Averill Park.
