Victoria Sook Druschel, 53

Schenectady- Victoria Sook Druschel, 53, of Stratford Road, died suddenly Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at her residence.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of Judith (Frayne) Sook of Loudonville and the late Prescott Sook and wife of David W. Druschel.

She was raised in Troy and Loudonville and resided in Schenectady since the early 70's and was a graduate of St Agnes School in Loudonville and earned her Bachelor degree from Union College in 1975.

Vickie was employed as business manager at Mt Ida Press in Albany and the Troy Public Library Foundation where she was also the lead fund raiser.

Vickie's gardens, within the Schenectady GE Plot, of perennials, annuals and wild flowers were often popular tour destinations. She was an accomplished pianist, widely read in literature and loved animals and movies. Vickie was a communicant of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Albany.

Survivors in addition to her husband and mother include three sisters, Katharine S. Parsons of Rochester, Elizabeth S. Rossi of Loudonville and Caroline S. Dwyer (Thomas) of Shrewsbury, NJ and nieces and nephews, Julia and Elizabeth Parsons, Prescott and Suzanne Rossi and Samuel Dwyer.

The funeral service will be held Saturday at 9:30 AM at the St. Peter's Episcopal Church 107 State Street Albany with Rev. Paul Hartt, Rector, officiating.

Interment Oakwood Cemetery in Troy.
