Thomas H. Shannon, 58

Troy - Thomas H. Shannon, 58,of Marvin Avenue, died Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy after a brief illness.

Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Hubert Shannon and Margaret (Creed) Shannon.

He was raised in Albany and resided the past 30 years in Troy.

Mr. Shannon worked as a certified nurse assistant at Van Rensselaer Manor several years ago.

Survivors include his fiance, Linda Catone of Troy and her son, John Catone Jr. of Cohoes; his daughters, Kirsten Shannon of Waltham, MA., Kimberly Shannon of Clifton Park and Brandie Shannon of Clifton Park; his grandchildren, Devon Campbell of Waltham, MA and Alexander Shannon of Clifton Park, his former wife, Judy Shannon; his sisters, Kathleen Nealon of Hudson, NH and Cynthia Vitetta of Clearwater, FL; his brother, Edward (Patricia) Shannon of Albany and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Carol Larpenter.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 8:30 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy and at 9:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church in Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Gary Mercure, Pastor.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 4-6 PM.

Interment St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands.
