Troy - Thomas Gere Paff, III, 80, passed peacefully with his family by his side, Monday, April 11, 2016.
Born in Plainfield, NJ, he was son of the late Thomas Gere Paff, Jr. and Eleanor Miller Paff and beloved husband of Joyce Burke Paff for 55 years.
Tom was a graduate of Berlin High School and was employed as a sales representative at the former Regal Art Press in Troy for 40 years and later at Fort Orange Press in Albany, Merchantile Printing in Mass. and after his retirement at Walter Snyder Printing.
He was a member of the Craftman's Club and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. Tom loved spending time with family, particularly family vacations in Ogunquit, Maine. He enjoyed cooking, baking, and calligraphy. He also loved attending events for his grandchildren.
Survivors in addition to his devoted wife, Joyce include a son, Thomas Gere (Cindy) Paff, IV, Watervliet; two daughters, Cheryl A. (Mark Zachelmayer) Paff, Woodstock and Tracey (Larry) DiScanio, Brunswick; his grandchildren, Thomas Gere (Andrea) Paff, V, Troy, Michael S. (Brittany) Paff, Watervliet, Carissa M. (Jason) Keevern, Latham, Caitlyn M. Paff, Watervliet and Brittney, Logan, and Francesca DiScanio, Brunswick; three great grandchildren, Teegan Green, Emma and Olivia Paff, and one great granddaughter due in June; his siblings, Russell (late June) Paff, Dunedin, FL, Trudy (late Dale) Rowe, Schuylerville and Richard (Laura) Paff; sister-in-law, Diane Burke (Tom) Hart, West Sand Lake and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father and mother-in-law, Edward and Amelia Bulmer Burke. He is reunited into eternal life with his beloved daughter, Michelle, who passed in 1985.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Friday, April 15, 2016 from 4-7 PM.
Funeral service will be held Saturday at 9:30 AM at the funeral home and at 10 AM at Sacred Heart Church Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Troy.
