Wynantskill- Thomas 'Ted' E. Maycock Jr., 93, of Gardner Road died peacefully Saturday, February 2, 2013, at his home with his daughter Karen and fellow companion, Coccoa, his dog.
Born and educated in Cohoes, he was the son of the late Thomas E. Maycock Sr. and Mabel Healey Maycock and beloved husband of 54 years of the late Barbara Williamson Maycock, who passed away in 2001. He had resided in Wynantskill for the past 58 year.
Ted was employed by Imperial Dairy where he ran the pasteurizing and freezing machines, Freihofer Baking Company during the horse and buggy era and retired from Grand Union in Waterford.
He served in the Army from 1942- 47 during World War II. He was a construction foreman maintaining bridges in 6 different countries.
He is survived by his two daughters, Karen Ann Maycock, Wynantskill, and Bonnie (Rob) Carson, Troy; his grandchildren, Sondra E. Carson, Troy and Derek S. Hosgood, Austin, TX; several great-grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Tanya Marie Kasmier and his sister, Joyce Davis .
Relatives and friends may call at the St. Timothy's Lutheran Church 470 Winter Street Extension Troy on Wednesday, from 1 - 2 PM prior to the funeral service at 2 PM with Rev. Greg Tennerman , Pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in Eagle Mills Cemetery Eagle Mills.
