Thomas J. Bloomfield, 52

North Greenbush - Thomas J. Bloomfield, 52,of Snyders Lake, died Monday, September 24, 2007 at his residence after a long illness.

Born in Troy, he was the son of the late John Bloomfield and Madeline (Mossey) Bloomfield and husband and best friend for 17 years of Nancy Castle Bloomfield.

Raised in Troy, he had resided in North Greenbush for the past 17 years and attended Troy High School.

Mr. Bloomfield was employed as a mechanic for the Town of North Greenbush Highway Department for the past 12 years.

He enjoyed fishing, boating and camping.

Survivors in addition to his wife include his siblings, David and Becky Bloomfield, Dan and Sue Bloomfield and Michael Bloomfield all of Troy and Peter Bloomfield and Karen Klein both of New Hampshire; his stepchildren, Jason Hamlin and Keith, Shawn, Jessica, and Kimberly Hankle all of Wynantskill; his brother-in-law and sister -in-law, Gary and Susan Martone and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Stanton and Betty Castle. He was predeceased by a brother, John and a sister, Kathy.

Funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment Elmwood Cemetery in West Sand Lake.
