Tara Kathleen Palmer, 31

Troy - Tara Kathleen Palmer, 31, of Frear Park View Troy died suddenly Tuesday, November 10, 2009, while traveling from Troy to Boise, Idaho.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of Peter Edward Palmer of Colonie, Cheryl Joyce Bell Maille of Boise, Idaho and step daughter of Harold J. Maille of Boise. She was a lifelong resident of Troy and earned her Bachelor's degree from RPI in 2000 and Master's in Education from Russell Sage College in 2003.

Ms. Palmer lovingly taught the children at Ark Community Charter School in Troy for 5 years and prior to that taught at HeadStart in Troy for 2 years.

Tara will be missed by her family and hundreds of friends, students and all whom she knew. Tara had a insatiable zest for life; Her love of travel and exploration and enjoying good times with those she loved and her sincere caring for the children she taught, her family and her friends was her life's passion and she touched everyone deeply. She will be missed beyond what any words can convey.

Survivors in addition to her parents include her sister, Kelly Palmer of Boise; her longtime partner, Michael Clark of Troy; her grandmother, Sevrin Palmer of Fairfield, CT; several aunts and uncles, Janet and Jim Dickinson of Wynantskill, Jack Bell of Watervliet and Sis Palmer, Paige and Wallace Herman, William and Judy Palmer and Dody and Jack Fleming all of Fairfield, CT and many cousins, Amy and Doug Wilbur of Las Vegas, Jamie and Felicia Dickinson of Wynantskill, Beth and Mark Spain of Wynantskill, Peggy, Mark, Randy and Josh Bell of Watervliet and Tyler, Taimie, Travis, Judy, Jesse, Patti and Chelsea Palmer all of Fairfield, CT.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 3PM at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy .

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12-3PM.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a fund for Tara's students at Ark Community Charter School in her name, 762 River Street; Troy, New York 12180.
