Susan A. Prefore, 96

Troy - Susan A. Prefore, 96, of Woodlawn Court died Saturday, January 28, 2012, at St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Mechanicville, she was daughter of the late Loreto Calicchia and Giavoanni Santucci Calicchia and wife of the late Charles L. Prefore. She was raised in Mechanicville and a graduate of Mechanicville High School. At the age of 19, Susan moved to Troy where she has spent most of her life.

Mrs. Prefore was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Women's Rosary Society Club at Sacred Heart for many years..

Survivors include her children, Helen Lamar of CA, Margaret Hannigan of MA, Thomas (Karole) Prefore of Schenectady, Barbara Prefore of Troy, Charles (Nancy) Prefore of Wynantskill, Donna (Richard) Piche of East Greenbush; her sister, Pauline Parkes of Clifton Park; 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Catherine Kaeser.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church Pawling Avenue Troy.

Interment will be in St. Jean's Cemetery Troy.
