Wynantskill - Susan E. Patti, 66, of Linda Lane died Saturday, April 25, 2015, at her residence after a long illness.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was daughter of the late David Weiss and Helen Garber Weiss and beloved wife of Angelo Patti. Susan was raised in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, NY. After completing college she resided for over 40 years in the Albany Area. Susan earned her Bachelor's Degree from the State University of New York at New Paltz and her Master's from SUNY Albany.
After college she taught at Philip Schuyler Elementary School retiring after 30 years.
Susan was an original 'flower child.' She had a wonderful smile, joyful spirit, was warm, friendly, caring and never met a person that she did not enjoy talking with. Susan was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend to all. She loved all forms of arts and crafts, becoming an expert in most including, beading, jewelry making, handcrafted cards, stained glass, origami, cross-stitch and many more. She was an active volunteer, at her Church, the Equinox Domestic Violence Shelter, Honest Weight Food Co-op and others. Susan loved shopping. She never passed up a good deal. Her favorite place was the Faith and Love Thrift Shop.
Survivors in addition to her husband include four daughters, Andrea (Don) Penner, Santa Cruz, CA, Noel Patti, Tampa Bay, FL, Heather Patti, San Jose, CA and Haylee Shepard, Wynantskill; a son, Dylan Patti, Wynantskill; 11 grandchildren; a brother, Roger A. (Lydia) Weiss, Kailua Kona, Hawaii; her twin sister, Sharon (Anthony) Cirincione, Asheville, NC and a niece, Heather Cirincione.
Relatives and friends are invited to the graveside service at 10:00 AM Thursday, April 30 at Sand Lake Union Cemetery, Route 66 and Cemetery Lane Averill Park. All are invited to attend the memorial service at noon, at the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Albany at 405 Washington Avenue Albany. Rev. Sam Trumbore officiating.
