Shirley Ann (Linendoll) Sibinich

September 2, 1935 ~ September 14, 2014 (age 79) 79 Years Old

Troy - Shirley Ann Linendoll Sibinich, 79, of Van Buren Street died Sunday, September 14, 2014, at her residence    after a long illness.

Born in Argyle, NY, she was daughter of the late Herbert Linendoll and Beulah  Bounds Linendoll, step-daughter of the late Bernard Kelley and wife of the late Michael Eli  Sibinich Sr. She grew up in Greenwich, NY and attended Greenwich Central School.                                    

Early in life, Shirley, worked at a leather shoe factoryHoosick Falls, a shirt factory, Greenwich, and the Hotel Cambridge - home of Pie Al-Mode, Cambridge. After moving to Troy, she was employed at the Palace Diner, Ford Motor Plant, Green Island, Realty USA, Super 8 Motel, Troy as a night auditor, A &M Roofing Corp. for 15 years as a tax accountant and manager, Bella Napoli Bakery for 10 years, Latham and attended H&R Training School.

For over 60 years she maintained her home, she was a very loving mother and always there for family and neighbors. Our mom has been a mother to many that have been in her company over the years and everyone praised and adored her. Also, to mention she was an extra in the movie the "Bostonians" filmed in Troy.  She loved that and we were all proud of her.  She had fun, though many long hours!!  Sunday's was our family day where everyone would be in the kitchen while she cooked for all, especially her macaroni and cheese and meatballs!  Shirley enjoyed contributing to many charities and organizations, including; St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Boy's Town, St. Matthews Church Tulsa, OK, and numerous Animal and veterans charities.    

Survivors include her children, Lorraine (Toby) Weatherwax, Greenwich, Michael E. Sibinich, Troy, Debbie Ann (Blaise) Lanni, Watervliet, Carol Ann Sibinich, Davie, FL, Jacqueline Essenter, Troy and Joseph Sibinich, Troy; a daughter-in-law, Carol Skellie, South Glens Falls; three brothers, Richard (Sydney) Linendoll, Salem, NY, Charles (Diane) Kelly, Greenwich and Michael Kelly, Greenwich; her grandchildren,  Laurie (Daniel) Scott, Heidi Collins, Melissa Weatherwax, Marsha Weatherwax, Nicolle and  Melissa Szot, Kimberly (Joel) Enterline, Lisa M. (Nicholas) Leoni, and Katelyn Sibinich; her great granddaughters, Maeonna Marshall, Malia Prince, Mia Leoni, Emily Scott and Lacy Howe; her great grandsons, Arkeim (AJ) Edge, Malachi Prince and Daniel J. Scott; Kymberly Munday (Davie, FL) welcomed into her life like a daughter; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Loris James  Skellie. 

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Wednesday from 4-7 PM. 

Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 9:30AM at the funeral home.

Interment will be in  Albany Rural Cemetery Menands.

The family wishes to thank the Community Hospice of Rensselaer County and especially, Elizabeth, Pam and Whitney.
